The beginning of 2013 has brought with it an extreme mix of weather and events to alter the ecology of the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area of New South Wales in Australia. We've had fires, heavy rainfall, record high temperatures and the environment around us faced it all and adapted accordingly.
I have recently purchased a new camera and plan to get out amongst it and start reporting the often missed details of the natural world very soon. Stay posted!
